While Howard did not complete his engineering degree, he considers himself to be an engineer and expects to return one day in the future to complete the “three credits” that he claims are now missing from his existing engineering degree program. While Howard’s claims about his educational background have not been corroborated, the Pratt Institute, which he claims to have gone, discontinued its engineering degree program in 1993.
On February 26, 2013, Howard revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that he had graduated with a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from South Carolina State University (SCSU) that same year, according to his bio. Terryology
A 2015 interview with Rolling Stone revealed that Howard had developed his own logic language, which he dubbed Terryology, and that he was keeping the details of his invention hidden until he had obtained the necessary permission to patent it. In order to establish his claim that “1 × 1 = 2,” he would employ this logical language.
“How can that be equal to one?” he wondered. “If one plus one equals one, it follows that two has no value because one plus one has no effect. If two equals one, it follows that two equals one. Because the square root of four is two, one plus one = two; thus, what is the square root of the number two? It should be one, but we’ve been told it’s two, which is impossible.”
In his resignation letter, Howard claims that he left Pratt because of disagreements with a lecturer on this hypothesis. He also revealed that he spends many hours a day building models out of plastic and wire that he has trademarked, which he claims to be evidence of his belief in the supernatural.
This was the first time that Howard shared his proof of his assertion that “1 × 1 = 2” on his Twitter account, which was in 2017.
It received a great deal of criticism for featuring numerous logical mistakes and bad reasoning.

Howard was released on bond in 2002. Authorities say he drove to her house following an altercation over the phone, pushed his way into her house by breaking in the windows and chasing her into the backyard, where he beat her twice in the face with a clenched hand. When Howard’s brother intervened, the vicious onslaught came to an end. In 2002, he was found guilty of disturbing the peace and sentenced to prison.
According to The Smoking Gun, Howard was also detained for assaulting a Continental Airlines flight attendant when he refused to return to his seat after the seat belt sign was illuminated, despite the flight attendant’s request.
Howard’s then-wife Michelle Ghent was granted a restraining order on December 5, 2011, based on her claims that Howard had caused her physical injuries that required medical attention, once broke her computer in half, repeatedly threatened and stalked her by phone and on the Internet, among other things.
During a court appearance in August 2013, Ghent claimed that he had given her a black eye, and the judge granted her the second restraining order against him.

Terrence Howard Wife Lori McCommas were college sweethearts
There has been a long and happy marriage between Terrence Howard and his first wife, Lori McCommas. According to Just Richest, the two met while attending college at Pratt Institute in New York City, where they were both students. The couple, who met as college sweethearts, tied the knot in 1994 and welcomed three children: son Hunter and daughters Aubrey and Heaven Howard, respectively.
While it appeared that Howard and McCommas were living a pleasant life as a family, this did not last indefinitely. According to Showbiz Cheat Sheet, after nearly a decade of marriage, the couple filed for divorce in 2000, with the divorce being finalized the following year.
Howard and McCommas attempted to make things work when they remarried one another in 2005, but their divorce did not stand up to the test of time. By 2007, the couple had finalized their divorce.
It’s unclear why the exes divorced both times, as neither Howard nor McCommas has officially said why their relationship ended in divorce. A previous interview with Howard revealed that he had previously admitted to physically beating McCommas in 2001, which resulted in his imprisonment on charges linked to the attack.
He told Rolling Stone in 2015, “She was talking to me real aggressively, and I lost my head and smacked her in front of the kids”. Her lawyer said it was a closed fist, yet slapping her was improper, as was punching her. There is virtually little information available about the current state of Howard’s relationship with McCommas.
Terrence Howard Wife Michelle Ghent
Following the dissolution of his marriage to Lori McCommas, Terrence Howard entered into a new relationship with Michelle Ghent, which took place only three years after his divorce from Lori. The former couple married in 2010, taking the entire world by surprise with their romance. In a May 2010 interview, Howard stated that he had married Ghent in a secret ceremony in Los Angeles, California, a year earlier (via New York Daily News).
Howard and Ghent’s storybook marriage was only meant to be for a short time. Ghent filed for divorce from the actor just a few days before their one-year wedding anniversary. According to paperwork acquired by Essence, Ghent stated that she was seeking a divorce because of “irreconcilable issues.” She also requested spousal support and requested that Howard cover the cost of her legal representation.
As a result, there was a lot of drama between them. In December 2011, Ghent claimed that Howard began beating her just a week after their marriage and threatened to murder her (via Amo Mama), claims that Howard denies.
Ghent filed a lawsuit against Howard in December 2011. Their divorce was finalized in May 2013, but their legal ordeal was far from over at that point. The actress Ghent sought a temporary restraining order against Howard, alleging that he injured her face during a fight in Costa Rica, according to TMZ. During an interview with People magazine, he later admitted to doing so.
Several years later, in 2019, their nearly six-year divorce drama appeared to have come to a close when Howard was sentenced to pay Ghent a stunning $1.3 million, according to the Daily Mail. Howard filed an appeal against the ruling in July 2020, claiming she was ‘deceitful’ in obtaining the divorce settlement. A decision on the case has not yet been reached by a judge.
In the midst of his legal battle with his ex-wife, Terrence Howard had already found his new lover, according to reports.
Terrence Howard and Miranda Pak plan to re-marry in the future
If it isn’t already clear, Terrence Howard has no qualms about experimenting with different types of relationships at any time. Miranda Pak and the actor first met in 2013 in the most unusual of circumstances. During a lunch meeting with “an old boss,” Pak confessed to Rolling Stone that Howard approached her while she was at a restaurant “in the middle of the day.”
Instead of greeting her with a simple “Hello,” Howard took a risk and told her boss, “I’m not sure if she’s your wife or girlfriend, but she’s extremely stunning.” Laughing, Pak exclaimed, “That’s a lot of courage on your part.” Howard responded, “I guess only a tiger would approach another tiger,” and Pak laughed again. It was a smooth transition.
Despite their chance meeting, Pak and Howard became fast friends after going on a date. After a month of dating, the “Hustle & Flow” actor proposed to his long-term girlfriend (via Radar). In an intimate ceremony held in October 2013, the couple wasted no time in heading down the aisle. A month later, the couple was photographed with their wedding bands at the Los Angeles premiere of “The Best Man Holiday.”
Howard was allegedly so ecstatic about the wedding that he called his ex-wife Michelle Ghent to tell her how wonderful it was (as you can imagine, a tough crowd). When Pak and Howard’s marriage ended in 2015, it had only been a year since they were legally separated.
However, despite their divorce, the two continue to have an odd relationship with one another and have recently been engaged once more. They welcomed their son Qirin into the world after their divorce was finalized. Hero, their second son, was born to them in December of this year.
