Claire Julia HawesKeeley Hawes (born 10 February 1976) is an English actress and producer who goes by the stage name of Keeley Hawes. She first gained attention for her performances in a number of literary adaptations, including Our Mutual Friend (1998) and Tipping the Velvet (2002), before gaining widespread recognition for her portrayal of Zoe Reynolds in the BBC television series Spooks (2002–2004), which was followed by her co-starring role as DI Alex Drake in the television series Ashes to Ashes (2008–2010).

Her other television roles include DI Lindsay Denton in Jed Mercurio’s Line of Duty (2014–2016) and Julia Montague in the BBC One thriller Bodyguard (2018, in which she played Home Secretary Julia Montague). In addition to being nominated for the British Academy Television Award for Best Actress for her roles as Lindsay Denton and Julia Montague, Hawes has been nominated for the British Academy Television Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Dorothy Wick in the drama Mrs. Wilson. Career

Hawes originally came to public attention in the 1990s, appearing in films such as Troublemakers, Dennis Potter’s Karaoke (1995), Heartbeat (1995), and The Beggar Bride (1995) as a supporting actor (1997).
