Story

Set in Shanghai in 1941, Enter the Game follows Ding Xiao He, the executive director’s secretary at the Shanghai Examination Institute under the Wang Puppet National Government. His life takes a dramatic turn when his direct superior, Lao Tang, is attacked by political enemies and finds himself in a desperate situation.

During this turbulent period, Ding Xiao He discovers that his “sister” Xiao Qing is actually an underground member of the Communist Party of China. Determined to protect her secret, he becomes involved in helping Lao Tang negotiate surrender terms with the Military Control Commission while trying to prevent Wang Puppet No. 76 from discovering Xiao Qing’s identity.

Ding Xiao He carefully plans to take Xiao Qing and Lao Tang to Hong Kong, hoping to help them escape. However, his plans collapse when Lao Tang abandons him and flees on his own. Left desperate and vulnerable, Ding Xiao He is mistakenly transferred by the Japanese to No. 76, where he unexpectedly becomes a spy for the Military Control Commission.

As he becomes deeper involved in the dangerous world of espionage, Ding Xiao He witnesses the corruption and chaos within the Wang Puppet regime, as well as the ruthless methods of the Military Control Commission. Caught between different political forces, he struggles to survive while protecting the humanity and conscience he refuses to abandon.

Through these experiences, Ding Xiao He gradually begins to understand the ideals and glory he sees in the Communist Party. His journey becomes more than a fight for survival—it becomes a journey of awakening, courage, loyalty, and finding the courage to choose what he truly believes in.
