What is scabies?

Mites are responsible for skin conditions known as scabies. These mites burrow into the top layer of human skin, where they feed on human blood and produce eggs. Scabies is a skin condition that is characterized by intense itching and the development of red lumps and lines on the skin.

Tea tree oil

How scabies breed

When scabies is severe

In extremely unusual cases, a form of scabies known as Norwegian scabies, which is crusted, might appear. This more severe form of scabies only manifests itself as a consequence of an already compromised immune system or when an infestation of scabies has been left untreated for an extended period of time (months or years).
