River Sunset Drama Plot
River Sunset is a co-production between Chinese and American filmmakers and is based on actual events that occurred during World War II. It illustrates the events that took place behind the scenes in the build-up to the bombing of Tokyo.
A narrative that centers on the aerial attacks on Tokyo in 1942.
On March 19, 1942, just as darkness was falling, Allied planes landed at Yangon Airport, only to discover that the Japanese troops had already gained control of the country. The airplane makes an effort to depart, but the next day, the higher-ups receive word that the aircraft was shot down, and the passenger has vanished without a trace. They dispatch Wumu Yilang on a rescue operation after putting her back into service. It has been five years since he was last active as a spy, during which time he has been living under the cover of a Japanese name. Wumu Yilang is given Ye Bi Ying as a helper, which marks the beginning of a working relationship between the two people.
