Mun Ka Young and Cha Eun Woo May Reunite for New K-Drama Seorabeol Knife
Mun Ka Young and Cha Eun Woo may be heading for another on-screen reunion, as both stars are reportedly considering roles in the upcoming K-drama Seorabeol Knife. The potential casting has already caught fans’ attention, especially since the two actors previously worked together in the hit romance drama True Beauty.
According to reports, Mun Ka Young’s agency Fantagio confirmed on September 8 that the actress has received an offer to appear in Seorabeol Knife and is currently reviewing the proposal. Cha Eun Woo has also reportedly been offered the male lead role and is considering the project.
Seorabeol Knife is described as a gourmet drama blending romance, historical fantasy, and time-travel elements. The story centers on an Italian chef known as the “Temptation of the Mediterranean” and a Silla princess destined to become the “sun of Seorabeol.”
The drama follows the owner and head chef of Orot, a one-Michelin-star restaurant, whose life takes an unexpected turn after he time-slips because of a 1,000-year-old prophecy hidden inside a gold-plated stone chest. He eventually encounters Princess Deokyeong, a member of Silla’s seonggol royal class who has an extraordinary passion for food and an exceptionally refined palate.

Mun Ka Young has reportedly been offered the role of Princess Deokyeong. The character is a pure-blooded royal who dreams of becoming Silla’s first queen. Alongside her devotion and curiosity, Deokyeong is gifted with an impressive sense of smell, a strong appreciation for cuisine and aesthetics, and remarkable talents in calligraphy and painting.
Cha Eun Woo is reportedly considering the role of the male protagonist, who operates the one-Michelin-star restaurant at the heart of the story.

The project will be directed by Jang Tae Yoo, known for acclaimed dramas including My Love from the Star, Hyena, and Bon Appetit, Your Majesty. Seorabeol Knife is also reportedly set in the same universe as Bon Appetit, Your Majesty, adding another intriguing connection for viewers.
As casting remains under discussion, the drama’s broadcasting platform and premiere date have not yet been confirmed. If Mun Ka Young and Cha Eun Woo officially join the project, their reunion could become one of the most anticipated K-drama pairings to watch.
