Chrissy Metz Boyfriend
Christopher Metz and Bradley Collins began dating in May 2020, according to People magazine.
During a virtual appearance on SiriusXM’s The Covino & Rich Show on Tuesday, the This Is Us actress, 40, clarified that she and her boyfriend, Bradley Collins, are not engaged, despite the fact that the actress had been spotted wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring the day before.
When asked to clarify rumors surrounding the ring that she was wearing, Metz told the two hosts, “I’m not going to say anything.” “Let’s be crystal clear about this. Allow me to show you the ring if you don’t mind. This is the ring, by the way “She said this before holding up a gold piece of jewelry for the camera to see, which was followed by a laugh. “Bradley purchased it on my behalf. I’m so relieved that you’re bringing this to light. Thank you very much.”
In any case, “we were out crystal shopping for a friend and I happen to love crystals as well,” says the author. “But then I realized that this was actually an engagement ring that he had given me for Christmas.” Metz previously stated that the ring is a honeycomb and that she is “obsessed with bees.” She went on to explain that the ring is a honeycomb.
“Bees are one of my favorite creatures. I’m thinking to myself, ‘Who would have thought that this was an engagement ring in the first place?’ “She went on to say more. “As a result, they find it so amusing that they run with it. And I’m thinking to myself, ‘It’s definitely not a slow news day today.’ Let’s get down to business and talk about real things. Okay?
Consider something like what is going on in our country as opposed to a ring that I may or may not be wearing right now.’ ‘Y’all, goodness,’ I’m exclaiming. Anyway, thank you for bringing it to my attention. This ring is a honeycomb ring, which I absolutely adore; however, it is not an engagement ring.”
Metz opened up about meeting her boyfriend on the popular dating app Bumble during a Monday interview with Andy Cohen for his SiriusXM Radio Andy show, in which she revealed that she initially “didn’t put a tonne on my profile because I thought it sort of weeds out the people who want to maybe talk to me for any other reason than a genuine reason.” Metz also revealed that she initially “didn’t put a tonne on my profile because I thought it sort of weeds out.
“The only time I remember seeing a picture of a guy was when he was an aspiring writer and he was holding a This Is Us coffee cup and thinking, ‘Oh, I can’t, I can’t.’ That would be far too bizarre,’ says the author “Metz went on to say more. “And then I thought to myself, ‘Oh, that’s nice.’ But, like, I’m not able to.’ So, of course, you talk to a couple of people and it’s immediately apparent that you and they aren’t a good match. ‘We’re not feeling it.'”
According to her, however, once she connected with Collins, the two realized that they had more in common than they had realized at the time. The singer continued, “You always want to make the best of a bad situation, but it turns out that Bradley and I have a lot of the same friends. He knows all of the same songwriters, and he’s [been] in the music publishing business for 16 years.” “And so we’ve been in the same room for a long time, but we’d never met before… I feel like it was meant to be, without a shadow of a doubt.”
“Who knew I’d have to resurrect the venerable Bumble? I, on the other hand, have no remorse “Metz made a joke. During the unofficial holiday of National Boyfriend Day, Metz and her boyfriend made their romance Instagram official for the first time in October.
“Wishing my dreamboat a happy #nationalboyfriendday! Because I was drawn to you from the moment I first laid eyes on you, I knew I wanted and needed to know you “Metz used the phrase “at the time” to caption a series of four photos that featured the couple. “You can definitely get #Collinsmesmitten! Thank you for being the wonder that you are; I appreciate everything you do.”
The couple then traveled to Los Angeles to celebrate their first holiday season together, which included Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Even though the coronavirus pandemic is still going on, Metz said she and Collins had a wonderful time at home and in the house.
“I’m grateful that he was able to spend Christmas [in Los Angeles] with his family,” Metz said of his father. ‘It’s difficult because of the quarantine, the two weeks here and there, and the testing,” says the author.
Because being away from my family was difficult this year, the actress expressed her gratitude for being able to spend the holiday with her boyfriend. “I’m so, so glad that I was able to spend it with him,” she said.
Chrissy Metz Weight Loss
Celebrity fans have always adored Chrissy Metz because she represents body positivity and is a role model for women. For more than a decade, Metz has promoted the idea that everyone is “exceptionally beautiful in their own way,” beginning with her breakout role on NBC’s This Is Us.
However, this does not imply that she has always been completely satisfied with her weight. Was it ever brought to your attention that she had lost 100 pounds nearly a decade ago? Discover what sparked Chrissy Metz’s weight-loss and health-conscious lifestyle change.
Chrissy Metz Has Always Struggled With Her Weight
Meta Metz has always been forthright about her lifelong struggle with weight loss. In 2017, she admitted to the Hollywood Reporter that she had been “chubby” her entire life.
Continuing, she said, “I remember going to Weight Watchers when I was about 11 years old.” The fact that I was the youngest person in the entire damned room created an uncomfortable situation.
Metz believes that part of the problem stems from the fact that she associates food with pleasant memories. For example, she enjoyed eating grilled cheese sandwiches made by her grandmother, which she described as a “beautiful bonding experience.”
However, she had a dark side to her food addiction that needed to be addressed. This Is Me, the New York Times best-selling memoir by actress Rachel Metz, revealed that her weight made her a frequent target of abuse—not by the usual schoolyard bullies, but by her stepfather.
As Metz put it, “my body appeared to offend him, but he couldn’t help but stare, especially when I was eating.” The refrigerator was going to be locked, he jokingly suggested.
When she was a teenager, she claims he “shoved, slapped, and punched” her in the face. He also weighed her at regular intervals and made fun of her when the results came back. Metz was undoubtedly filled with a deep sense of shame and pain as a result of his mistreatment.
The fact that Metz chose the high road as an adult, however, should not be overlooked. “What the [media] fails to mention is that we have a relationship,” she told the Columbian in 2018. “We have a relationship,” she added. The man has apologized, and I respect him. He was more of a father to me than my biological father, and I have forgiven him.
Metz Had A Contract On ‘This Is Us’ That Required Her To Lose Weight
Metz was a struggling actress who was living off of dollar store ramen noodles when she was cast as Kate on the hit television show This Is Us. Naturally, she was overjoyed when she was cast in the role of a lifetime. But there was one snag in the plan.
When Metz spoke to TVLine in 2016, he said, “It was stated in our contract that that would be a part of it, that she would lose weight in the trajectory of the character as she comes to find herself.”
The requirement to lose weight may seem like a high-pressure clause, but the actress saw it as a positive. “It was a win-win situation for me,” she explained. ‘Because it’s one thing to try to do it on your own, but it’s another to rely on others. We humans, on the other hand, are motivated by our egos, and we are more likely to do something for someone else.”
Metz, on the other hand, sounded a little more relaxed in a Harper’s Bazaar profile the following year. She told the publication that neither she nor her This Is Us character were required to reach a specific weight or meet a specific time frame to be considered successful.
According to a Hollywood Reporter feature, This is Us creator Dan Fogelman elaborated, “We have a general long-term plan that we’ve all discussed, and we will adjust the plan as needed.”
A Panic Attack First Inspired Her Weight Loss
Metz’s weight has fluctuated throughout her life, but a panic attack in 2010 prompted her to make some significant changes. Metz revealed to People magazine in 2017 that she experienced a jolt of consciousness just hours before she was scheduled to attend her 30th birthday party, which her ex-husband had planned.
“I’m thinking to myself, What exactly is it? Is it possible that I’m going to die? “What the hell is going on?” she inquired after experiencing heart palpitations. “It was extremely frightening — extremely, extremely, extremely frightening.”
She skipped the party and instead headed straight to the hospital to be treated. Doctors determined that she had suffered a panic attack, but they did not ignore the fact that her weight had played a role in her overall well-being. Her captors told her that she couldn’t go on in this direction any longer.
It dawned on her that “this is more than just a physical thing,” she explained. This is something that involves the soul, the spirit, the mind, and the body as a whole. “Not everything is working together.”
Metz lost 100 pounds as a result of the terrifying incident. People magazine quoted her as saying, “I was so gung ho, I lost 100 pounds in less than five months.” And, while she declined to disclose her weight at the time, she claims to have maintained her weight loss since then.
Her Weight Loss Routine Was Simple
Metz didn’t resort to a crash or fad diet in order to slim down. Her secret to success, as unglamorous as it may sound, was a combination of moderation and movement.
In order to lose weight, all I did was follow a 2,000-calorie diet and walk for 20 minutes every day.”
She also worked on her mental health, telling People magazine that she relied on reading and spiritual work to keep herself motivated in this endeavor as well. “I realized that… at our core, we’re these perfect beings,” she said. “I realized that…” “It’s not something we’re taught.”
Metz appears to be in great shape in 2021, and although she hasn’t revealed her current weight, she hopes that fans will support her throughout her weight loss journey, whatever the outcome.
“I just have to be very clear,” she said in an interview with TVLine. “Whether or not I lose weight or maintain my current weight is entirely up to me in terms of my health.” Not because I believe plus-size, curvy, voluptuous, and muscular bodies are unattractive, but rather because I believe they are awesome and sexy.”
As the actress continued, “I’ll just have to make sure that everyone is aware of it because I’m not going to sell out to the big girls.” That is not something I do. “That’s not who I am.”
