Abyss Walker revolves around real stories and undercover efforts of the Chinese narcotics enforcement agency.

Gao Huai Yuan is a retired undercover cop who is now doing traffic duty. One day he watches his friend Wei Feng being killed in front of his eyes. Gao Huai Yuan swears to go back as an undercover officer and finds the truth. With the help of inspector general Fang Qing Long and Zheng Qing Hao, Wei Feng’s widow and an intelligence agent herself, Gao Huai Yuan he started an investigation. Thus a war started between cops and criminals.
