A Lifelong Journey Drama Summary Plot

 

The drama is about a common family during the magnanimous changes in Chinese society over the years. The family lives in a provincial city in the north. The head of the family Zhu Zhi Gang participated in the Third Front Movement in Xi Nan. The eldest son, Zhou Bing Yi, became the first batch of “educated” youths sent to live and work in rural areas.

The eldest daughter, Zhou Rong, went with her poet husband to the countryside of Guizhou. Only younger son Zhou Bing Kun is left alone with his mother.

During 50 years, the Zhou family faced many challenges. Zhou Bing Yi takes part in politics and faces troubles in life. Zhou Rong stays twelve years in France. Zhou Bing Kun and Zheng Juan fall in love with each other.
