Yoon Myung Joo is played by Kim Ji Won, while Suh Dae Young is played by Jin Goo in this iconic Korean drama. Both of them have served in the military, with Myung Joo’s specialty being as a surgeon. The series begins with the couple already in love, but apart as they face the challenges of their contrasting socioeconomic classes. Their affection and relationship are both tragic and adorable. Fans were riveted by the protagonist’s internal conflict between following her emotions and using her head. In all honesty, you secretly hoped they’d end up together.

In “High Society,” the secondary pair had far better chemistry than the primary one. Lim Ji Yeon’s character, Lee Ji Yi, is an impoverished girl who has a gritty realism about her life and her relationships. So when Yoo Chang Soo (Park Hyung Sik), the CEO of her firm, enters her life and falls in love with her, she takes it as a negative sign. Seeing Chang Soo’s intense longing for Ji Yi is heartwarming to behold and adds nuance to the series as a whole. Park Hyung Sik’s acting chops were on full display, especially in the many touching sequences where his character wept over Lee Ji Yi.

6. Cha Hyun and Seol Ji Hwan in “Search: WWW”

The noona romance “Search: WWW,” starring Jang Ki Yong and Im Soo Jung, is set against the fast-paced and aggressive environment of a web portal firm. While the show’s female protagonists are often at odds with one another, Bae Ta Mi (Im Soo Jung) manages to win Cha Hyun over and become her friend (Lee Da Hee). There are sparks flying as Cha Hyun falls for Seol Ji Hwan (Lee Jae Wook). No one could have imagined how exciting it would be to see their developing romance unfold, culminating in a passionate kiss.

7. “Crash Landing On You”

Both Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin’s characters, played by Seo Ji Hye and Kim Jung Hyun, and their chemistry together in “Crash Landing On You” are unforgettable. Gu Seung Jun’s (Kim Jung Hyun) passion for Seo Dan (Seo Ji Hye) is unparalleled in its naiveté and innocence. Even though it must have been exhausting to keep up with Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin, the two did an amazing job telling their heartbreakingly beautiful love tale.
