Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik will Join for New Medical Drama. It has been said that Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik may appear in a new drama together.
According to a report published by TenAsia on the 30th of November, Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik will play the leading roles in the upcoming drama “Doctor Slump” (literal title).
A representative from Park Shin Hye’s management company, SALT Entertainment, responded to the story by saying, “Park Shin Hye has received the offer to star in ‘Doctor Slump,’ and she is enthusiastically considering the offer.” “He is positively considering the offer to star in ‘Doctor Slump,'” a representative of Park Hyung Sik’s agency P&Studio said in a similar manner.
The story “Doctor Slump” is about a group of physicians who are struggling to get themselves out of a rut while also attempting to revitalize their lives. The romantic comedy depicts the development of a couple’s relationship when they are living in a residence on a rooftop after they had both left their careers in medicine. There have been discussions about Park Shin Hye taking on the role of Nam Ha Neul, and Park Hyung Sik has been offered the part of Yeo Jung Woo.
Park Shin Hye and Choi Tae Joon got married at the beginning of this year, and in April, the couple became parents for the first time by giving birth to their first child. Both of them are well-known celebrities. If Park Shin Hye decides to take the part, it will be her first time acting in a medical drama since her role in the smash blockbuster drama “Doctors,” which she played in 2016, as well as her first production since having a mother.
Since making his debut with ZE:A in 2010, Park Hyung Sik has also excelled in a variety of other projects, such as “What Happens to My Family?,” “Hwarang,” “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon,” and “Happiness,” amongst others. Earlier in his career, Park Hyung Sik co-starred with Park Shin Hye in the hit drama “Heirs,” which aired in 2013.
Reports indicate that production on “Doctor Slump” will get underway sometime in 2019, following the conclusion of the casting process; however, the specifics of the show’s programming schedule have not yet been determined.
