Oh Yeon Seo Confirmed to Join Star-Studded tvN K-Drama Mean Love.

On March 20, media outlets announced that Oh Yeon Seo has chosen “Mean Love” as her next project. Her agency, Story J Company, later confirmed her casting in the upcoming tvN drama.

This will mark Oh Yeon Seo’s first drama of the year. In 2024, she headlined The Player 2: Master of Swindlers alongside Song Seung Heon, Tae Won Seok, Lee Si Eon, Jang Gyu Ri, and Ha Do Gwon.

Since beginning her acting career in 2003, Oh Yeon Seo has built an impressive portfolio with notable performances in Café Minamdang, Mad for Each Other, Love with Flaws, A Korean Odyssey, Please Come Back, Mister, and Come! Jang Bo Ri, among others.

Mean Love follows the story of a popular actor known for his detective roles, who now dreams of starring in a romance, and a former political journalist turned entertainment reporter.

The main cast includes Lee Jung Jae, Im Ji Yeon, Kim Ji Hoon, Seo Ji Hye, Choi Gwi Hwa, and Kim Hyun Jin.

Oh Yeon Seo will portray Kwon Se Na, a celebrated top star nicknamed the “Hallyu Goddess.” She is also the first love of Im Hyeon Jun, played by Lee Jung Jae. Years after abruptly leaving him, she reappears, stirring up old emotions and complications.

The drama is directed by Kim Ga Ram (Good Partner, Nevertheless, Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency) and written by Jung Yeo Rang (Doctor Cha).

Mean Love is set to premiere exclusively on tvN this year, with a total of 16 episodes.
