From Stage to Screen: ITZY’s Shin Yu Na to Star in New tvN Drama
ITZY’s Shin Yu Na to Make Her Acting Debut in Upcoming tvN Drama ‘Miss Undercover Boss’.
ITZY’s Shin Yu Na is officially stepping into the world of acting. On July 1, tvN confirmed the cast for its upcoming K-drama Miss Undercover Boss, with Shin Yu Na named as one of the lead actors. This marks her first official acting role since debuting as a K-pop idol.
Shin Yu Na first entered the entertainment industry in 2019 as a member of the popular girl group ITZY under JYP Entertainment. Until now, she has been fully dedicated to group activities. With this new venture, she’s ready to challenge herself in a different spotlight—acting.
Despite her new role, Shin Yu Na will continue to be active with ITZY. Just last month, the group released their mini-album Girls Will Be Girls, with Yu Na actively participating in its promotions. She also becomes the first ITZY member to pursue a career in K-dramas officially.
In Miss Undercover Boss, Shin Yu Na will join a talented lineup that includes Park Shin Hye, Go Kyung Pyo, Ha Yoon Kyung, and Cho Han Gyeol.

Set before the 1997 IMF crisis, Miss Undercover Boss follows the story of Hong Geum Bo, a skilled securities supervisor who goes undercover at a Yeouido securities firm, posing as a high school graduate employee.
Park Shin Hye stars as Hong Geum Bo, a 35-year-old professional who prefers to work alone. Shin Yu Na will portray Hong Jang Mi, her younger sister.
The drama will be helmed by director Park Seon Ho—known for Business Proposal, Suspicious Partner, and Birth of a Beauty—alongside writer Moon Hyun Kyung of Into the Ring fame.
Miss Undercover Boss is scheduled to premiere in the first half of 2026 exclusively on tvN and will consist of 16 episodes.
