Despite having been fired from the project and having just shot one scene since filming began on September 20 in the United Kingdom, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Depp will still earn full remuneration for the sequel, which will be released in 2019.
According to his “pay-or-play” contract, which stipulates that he “be fully reimbursed whether or not the picture is made and even if the cast is recast,” Depp will get an eight-figure sum as compensation for his contributions to the project.
