Disney has not yet confirmed Zombies 4, so as much as we hate to say it, Zombies 3 might be Addison, Zed, and the other Seabrook residents’ last adventure.

Aliens appeared in the third film, further putting Addison and Zed’s relationship to the test. Of course, their love endured until the very end, despite the fact that Addison briefly considered permanently leaving Earth after learning who she really was.

Disney referred to Zombies 3 as the “third and last installment” when it was first revealed, and while an animated series is in the works, Zeddison’s story may be coming to a close with this. Sorry, dudes.

Unlike Zombies 2, the threequel ends definitively rather than on a cliffhanger, but a sequel isn’t always ruled out. So is Zombies 4 a possibility? Let’s explore the third movie’s events and make some predictions for the future.

Zombies 3 endings explained

Zed’s major objective at the beginning of Zombies 3 is to enroll in Mountain College as the first zombie, which would pave the way for all other monsters to attend college after Seabrook becomes a safe haven for everyone.

Aliens from another planet who have lost their home planet and are looking for directions to their “ideal new home,” Utopia, arrive in Seabrook, disrupting this plan. It was left by a scout who crash-landed in Seabrook decades earlier and is housed within the “most valuable artifact” in Seabrook.

Zed and Addison help the aliens locate the coordinates in exchange for assistance with Zed’s outstanding student application for college. They correct the message that the scout left, who is later identified as Addison’s grandmother Angie.

That’s accurate. Addison is an alien, not a human cheerleader, as the Zombies 2 cliffhanger hinted at.

Her grandma fell in love with a person named Eli, and in an effort to fit in, she attended Seabrook High and developed a cheerleading obsession. They believe that Angie concealed the coordinates to Utopia when she made the Cheer Off trophy, the Seabrook Cup.

When the aliens scan the Seabrook Cup, Addison, and her team manages to win it, but there are no locations to be located. Addison reveals herself to be an alien in order to defend the aliens from the wolves, who are suspicious of their actual motivations.

You might anticipate that this would make talking to her mother awkward, but she says that she has always known. For their own safety, Angie had advised her to keep their actual selves hidden, and Addison’s mother says her grandma always “named you her most precious thing.”

When the aliens scan the Seabrook Cup, Addison, and her team manages to win it, but there are no locations to be located. Addison reveals herself to be an alien in order to defend the aliens from the wolves, who are suspicious of their actual motivations.

Addison suggests that perhaps her grandmother had realized that the aliens should reside in Seabrook, “the most perfectly imperfect place there is,” rather than on a planet with no conflicts.

“Occasionally, you need confrontation. Take a look at what transpired once we resolved our differences. We advanced as a group. Not every conflict is negative. Sometimes a difficulty makes us want to improve, “They hear from Addison.

The aliens acknowledge her point of view and, rather than traveling to Utopia, beam back to Seabrook to begin their new lives. At the conclusion of Zombies 3, Seabrook has become the new normal, allowing cheerleaders, zombies, werewolves, aliens, and all other creatures to coexist.

The Zombies trilogy ends in what feels like a decisive position as Addison has finally come to terms with who she is and the couple has a bright future ahead of them thanks to Zed’s acceptance into Mountain College so that they may both attend.

It’s possible for a different species to move into Seabrook and alter the dynamic once more, but it feels like this could be it.

Zombies 4

Apart from the threequel being referred to as the “third and last installment” in March 2021 as we noted above, nothing regarding Zombies 4 has been officially confirmed as of November 2022. However, it doesn’t appear to have deterred the stars.

“I tell you what. We’ll have to wait and see about [Zombies 4], but it leaves it open for a fourth and does a really fantastic job of finishing it up as well, Milo Manheim told HollywoodLife. We need to wait and see if you guys enjoy Zombies 3 before making a decision.”

We would generally suggest that a fourth film is unlikely to be released at this time, but you can never be too sure. Since Zombies 3 will be the first in the series to debut solely on Disney+, it may draw in a larger audience than the previous films, so keep an eye on this one.

Even if a fourth film isn’t produced, Disney has confirmed an animated TV series called Zombies: The Re-Animated Series that is based on the series and will be released.

Although we don’t know much about it yet, we do know that Zed, Addison, Eliza, Willa, and “the full Seabrook crew” will be in it. This gang may have found out how to get along with each other, but they still don’t quite know how to go through high school.

It’s likely that the series will take place earlier in the Zombies timeline than continuing the plot after Zombies 3’s finale because Zed and Addison have already received their diplomas.
