You can use our troubleshooting suggestions if you’re having issues with this application.
Benefits of using T-Mobile ID
When you sign up for T-Mobile ID, you can manage numerous accounts and lines from a single email address. It is not simply the lines on your account that are linked to your T-Mobile ID profile; it is meant to integrate all of the services that you use with T-Mobile. Don’t link several phone numbers from the same account to the same T-Mobile ID in order to avoid authorization level difficulties.

Update your password
It is recommended that you change your account passwords at least once every few months, and we require that you update your T-Mobile ID password at least once a year as well.
Requirements for passwords
- The length must be between 8 and 50 characters.
- It is necessary to provide at least one number.
- It is necessary to contain at least one letter.
- There are no spaces allowed in this field.
- It is possible to incorporate the following special characters: @ # $ percent & * () /: ;?,.,
- It has to be distinct from the past five passwords you used.
Passwords should be updated or reset whenever necessary.
- If you are requested to change your password, make sure to do it immediately so that you do not become locked out of your account.
- If your phone includes a biometric scanner that is compatible with the T-Mobile app (such as Touch ID or Face ID), you may use it to sign in securely and avoid having to remember your password by using the T-Mobile app.
Have you forgotten your password?
- There’s nothing to worry about! On My T-Mobile.com, click on Forgot Password? and follow the on-screen instructions to reset your password.
Secure your account with two-step verification options
Multiple solutions for account security (multi-factor authentication) are available from T-Mobile, allowing you to keep your account safe by adding an additional layer of protection to your online login.
- When you sign into your account, you must complete an additional verification step in order to access your account information.
- There is a 24-hour lag between making changes to your two-step verification settings and those changes becoming effective. During that time period, dial 1-800-937-8997 to obtain authentication information.
- You’ll be asked to complete a second verification method every time you log in if Always Require is set to “ON.”
- This necessitates the use of two-step verification setup.
- T-Mobile maintains the right to enact two-step verification at any moment in order to protect the security of your account.
There are two different step-verification alternatives.
Following the configuration of two-step verification during registration, you can authenticate using any of the following methods:
- Security questions: This feature allows you to create security questions that will be used to validate your identity.
- Message and data services (SMS): You can validate your identification by sending a text message to your T-Mobile ID.
- If you have the T-Mobile app installed, you can use your fingerprint or FaceID for two-step verification.
- When setting up two-step verification, the Google Authenticator app (available for Android 2.1 and iOS 3G and newer devices) must be used in conjunction with another programme (such as a password manager).
- Selecting No thanks will turn off this option for you.
- You can complete two-step verification using the Google Authenticator app instead of SMS, Fingerprint, or FaceID once Google Authenticator has been set up on your T-Mobile ID and you have a T-Mobile ID.
Update your account profile
Update your account profile, which includes your name, email address, password, two-step verification, and the phone numbers associated with your T-Mobile ID, if necessary.
Link / unlink phone numbers from your T-Mobile ID
You can use the same T-Mobile ID to access numerous accounts and lines, allowing others to log in and manage your accounts if you so desire, if you have several accounts and lines. Also available is the ability to attach a new phone number to an existing T-Mobile ID account.
Don’t link several phone numbers from the same account to the same T-Mobile ID in order to avoid authorization level difficulties.

- Next, select Text message: Send me a temporary password and then click on the Next button to continue. If this option is not accessible, click on the More Possibilities button to bring up a list of other options.
