Spoilers for season three of Emily in Paris are below.
Given that season three ended on a cliffhanger, fans of this Netflix hit will already be curious about whether or not a season four of Emily in Paris is in the works.
Lily Collins, the show’s star and producer, hinted in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that we’d “wish there was a season four right away,” and she wasn’t mistaken.
Last word of caution: if you have yet to see season three through to the finish or want to see spoilers, don’t read any further.
After years of will they or won’t they for Emily and hot property chef Gabriel, their relationship now appears to be headed in the right direction.
If you can get past the fact that the restaurant owner had just tied the knot with Camille and would have wed at this point if she hadn’t had the guts to tell the congregation that her boyfriend was in love with her best friend.

And to add insult to injury, just before the credits rolled, Gabriel pulled the ultimate mic drop by notifying Emily that Camille was pregnant.
But will there be additional episodes to explain everything? This is what we do know:
Emily in Paris Season 4 Release Date
Thankfully, there won’t be much waiting for a renewal announcement as Emily in Paris will actually return for a fourth installment has already been confirmed.
In an Instagram post earlier this year, Lily Collins, who serves as the series’ face while portraying American Emily Cooper in Paris, informed her followers of the news.
She posted a picture of herself in a very on-brand pair of pajamas with the remark, “Woke up early to give you some VERY exciting news.” Emily in Paris has returned for Season 3! AND prepare for Season 4 now! Emily would be screaming whether she loved or hated this announcement outfit—I can’t tell.
We don’t currently have a release date that is more precise.
But we can make some quite accurate assumptions. We wouldn’t be surprised if season four followed the lead of seasons two and three, which were both released in full in December, just in time for a holiday binge-watch. This puts the release date at December 2023.
Seasons three and four were reportedly shot simultaneously, so there shouldn’t, in theory, be any delays in giving us fresh episodes. It just depends on when Netflix decides to release them.
We’re unsure of what might occur to Emily in Paris after that.
The show’s creator, Darren Star, stated in a recent interview with Forbes that he doesn’t have a “clear agenda” for how long the show will run, thus the plot appears to be far from being established.
He continued, “With Emily in Paris, I see chances for growth,” saying, “I think that is because you discover so much by making the series as the universe of the characters keeps expanding.”
Emily in Paris Season 4 Cast
Without Emily in Paris, Emily in Paris would not be Emily in Paris. Ahem.
We’d need to catch up with Gabriel (Lucas Bravo), Camille (Camille Razat), and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) in order to find a satisfying resolution to season three’s climactic twist because there are so many unanswered issues and many loose ends in the plot.
What Lucien Laviscount expects will occur for Alfie in the upcoming season has already been mentioned. He stated: “I’d like Alfie to kind of take a little bit more of a stand within the company with Antoine, that’d be fantastic,” in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
“Perhaps have a little chat with the good ole Nicolas. I think that would be quite a fun little thing to play with inside the company, the two businesses kind of fending against one other.” Whatever it may look like, I need closure on some things for myself personally. So, I suppose, to explore that with Alfie and Emily, whether it be closure, a friendship, or anything else? Because, although I am aware that it has been briefly covered, I believe their relationship to be distinct from that of Gabriel and Emily.
“Therefore, it could be worthwhile to investigate it. But as I said, I’m game for anything.”
Mindy (Ashley Park), Em’s roommate and best friend, would undoubtedly be missed, thus there is every reason to believe that she will return for additional episodes. Additionally, Emily will require her female companion because she still needs to make some difficult choices.
Emily’s employer Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), as well as coworkers Julian (Samuel Arnold) and Luc (Bruno Gouery), ought to be showing up more frequently given Emily’s workaholic attitude. In fact, we must learn what Julian’s position in the organization and his relationship with Emily will be.
There’s a good probability that some new characters, like (another) Emily’s new love interest or some other competitors in the marketing industry, may also be introduced.
And since Camille’s future is uncertain, it’s possible that we’ll see more of artist Sofia (Melia Kreiling), with whom she had an affair before learning that she was pregnant.
Emily in Paris Season 4 Trailer
It’s way too early to see any season four footage given that season three only just became available on Netflix on December 21.
Three weeks before the season’s premiere, the teaser was made available, thus we can anticipate a similar situation in the following season.
