After Ever Happy, which is currently streaming on US Netflix, After 5 received an unexpected announcement that it will be arriving in 2023.

We had assumed that the fourth film would mark the conclusion of Tessa and Hardin’s narrative, but After Ever Happy’s unexpected cliffhanger revealed that there is still one more chapter to be written.

As a special Christmas treat, Alternators received the first trailer for the fifth and, presumably, last After film. It depicts Hardin, who recently broke up with Tessa, as being reluctant to move on despite his newfound popularity as an author.

What more should we anticipate from After 5, also known as After Everything? Warning: There will be significant spoilers for the entire series up to this point, including After Ever Happy.

After 5 Release Date

Although the fifth film has been confirmed, After Everything’s official release date is still unknown.

Following the unexpected revelation in August 2022, Hero Fiennes Tiffin did admit that the movie had already been secretly filmed. The teaser did confirm that the film will be released in 2023.

“The fifth After the movie is now complete with filming. It will be named After Everything, and while I can’t say too much about it just yet, I can say that I can’t wait for you all to watch it “He stated in a post on Instagram.

After Everything could be released in September 2023 since the previous three films—After We Collided, After We Fell, and After Ever Happy—all came out in September.

Though there’s a good chance that the Afternators will be reconnecting with Tessa and Hardin sooner given that the movie has already finished filming.

On December 23, the first After Everything teaser was made available, but Tessa was nowhere to be seen in the little clip.

As he begins to work on his upcoming book, Hardin is seen chatting to his parents and attempting to get over Tessa. He says, “I keep trying to write, but every time I do, it just keeps coming back to Tessa.

In response to his parent’s advice to gain some distance in order to come to terms with their love ending, Hardin books a flight to Lisbon. What are the chances that he will run across Tessa there?

If you haven’t seen After Ever Happy yet, turn away now since there will be spoilers ahead.

The fourth film closes on a more depressing note because Tessa and Hardin aren’t together, in contrast to the book it is based on, which concludes with a flash-forward in which Tessa and Hardin have two children.

When Tessa discovers the After book, which Hardin has been writing about their relationship, it leads to their final breakup. He informs her it’s too late because it’s already been leaked even if she doesn’t want her life published for everybody to read.

Tessa claims that their ordeal is finally finished, yet she still finds herself slipping into a reading of Hardin’s book. When she notices Hardin staring at another woman, she walks away. Tessa is seen heading off into the rain in the final image when he spots her just as she is about to leave but keeps reading.

Has Hardin started dating someone else? According to a fan idea, it’s possible that this unidentified woman is merely claiming to be Tessa as part of Hardin’s marketing strategy.

Tessa and Hardin are likely to get back together in the fifth movie, which will take up where the fourth left off and lead up to the book’s concluding scene when they live happily ever after.

There is plenty of room for the fifth movie to fill in the blanks and provide us with additional drama on its way to a satisfying conclusion because the book makes several time jumps to tell the conclusion of Tessa and Hardin’s narrative.

We were aware that filmmaker Castille Landon was putting the finishing touches on two more After films before the unexpected announcement of the fifth film. One was supposed to be based on the Hardin-centered Before prequel, while the other was supposed to be about their kids.

“The fans really adore Emery, Auden, and Addy. Many people have asked us about what happens to the children, so “Telling Teen Vogue, Landon.

“Although those characters are just briefly mentioned in the books, it’s truly wonderful to see how interested the fan community is in them. Because of their affection for Hardin and Tessa, people have become attracted to them.”

As a result of the unexpected additional After the movie, we don’t yet know if any of those movies are still in production.

There has been no confirmation, but it’s possible that the fifth After movie took the place of one of those anticipated films.

After 5 Cast

We haven’t received an official cast announcement for After Everything beyond the title confirmation, but we can make two specific assumptions.

As Tessa Young and Hardin Scott, respectively, Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin will return since an After movie wouldn’t be the same without them.

Despite the teaser confirming Louise Lombard and Stephen Moyer as Hardin’s parents Trish Daniels and Christian Vance, we are still unsure of who else will return.

We anticipate that characters like Landon, played by Chance Perdomo, and Nora, played by Kiana Madeira, who has since moved in with Landon, will return. We can’t say for sure, though, that they will be.
