  2. Setup instructions for the first time are as follows:

  2. Click on Not [your name]?, then input your T-Mobile ID and password, and then click on Log in.

You can use our troubleshooting suggestions if you’re having issues with this application.

Benefits of using T-Mobile ID

When you sign up for T-Mobile ID, you can manage numerous accounts and lines from a single email address. It is not simply the lines on your account that are linked to your T-Mobile ID profile; it is meant to integrate all of the services that you use with T-Mobile. Don’t link several phone numbers from the same account to the same T-Mobile ID in order to avoid authorization level difficulties.

  1. App for T-Mobile
  2. T-Mobile on the internet (postpaid & prepaid)
  3. T-customer Mobile’s service website
  4. Consider joining the T-Mobile Support group on Facebook.
  5. DIGITS
  6. Money from T-Mobile
  7. TVision
  8. T-Mobile Home Internet is a service provided by T-Mobile.

  4. Steps to verify your phone number: You will receive a 6-digit verification code on your mobile phone. Selecting Send to a different number will register the number to which the code is sent, rather than the number to which the registration procedure was initially initiated.

  6. Biometric verification is accomplished through the use of the T-Mobile app and biometric credentials such as Face ID or fingerprint identification.

T-Mobile Home Internet options

If you add T-Mobile Home Internet to your account along with a voice line, you will be able to manage your Home Internet account using your current T-Mobile ID and password. If one has not yet been formed, one of the other procedures listed on this page should be used.

Follow these procedures if you only have a T-Mobile Home Internet connection.

  1. To sign up for home internet service, visit www.t-mobile.com/home-internet-signup.
  2. Fill in your name and email address, which were provided to you during the activation process.
  3. Make a password for yourself.
  4. Sign me up is the option to choose.
  5. The registration PIN will be sent to you through email.

For Home Internet customers who did not provide an email address for service notifications and received a paper bill, or who have canceled all other lines on their T-Mobile account except their Home Internet, will need to contact customer care at 1-844-275-9310 and provide their email address in order to register for T-Mobile ID. For more information, visit www.tmobile.com/support/homeinternet/tmobile-id.html.

Update your password

It is recommended that you change your account passwords at least once every few months, and we require that you update your T-Mobile ID password at least once a year as well.

Requirements for passwords

  1. The length must be between 8 and 50 characters.
  2. It is necessary to provide at least one number.
  3. It is necessary to contain at least one letter.
  4. There are no spaces allowed in this field.
  5. It is possible to incorporate the following special characters: @ # $ percent & * () /: ;?,.,
  6. It has to be distinct from the past five passwords you used.

Passwords should be updated or reset whenever necessary.

  1. If you are requested to change your password, make sure to do it immediately so that you do not become locked out of your account.
  2. If your phone includes a biometric scanner that is compatible with the T-Mobile app (such as Touch ID or Face ID), you may use it to sign in securely and avoid having to remember your password by using the T-Mobile app.

Have you forgotten your password?

  1. There’s nothing to worry about! On My T-Mobile.com, click on Forgot Password? and follow the on-screen instructions to reset your password.

Secure your account with two-step verification options

Multiple solutions for account security (multi-factor authentication) are available from T-Mobile, allowing you to keep your account safe by adding an additional layer of protection to your online login.

  1. When you sign into your account, you must complete an additional verification step in order to access your account information.
  2. There is a 24-hour lag between making changes to your two-step verification settings and those changes becoming effective. During that time period, dial 1-800-937-8997 to obtain authentication information.
  3. You’ll be asked to complete a second verification method every time you log in if Always Require is set to “ON.”
  4. This necessitates the use of two-step verification setup.
  5. T-Mobile maintains the right to enact two-step verification at any moment in order to protect the security of your account.

There are two different step-verification alternatives.

Following the configuration of two-step verification during registration, you can authenticate using any of the following methods:

  1. Security questions: This feature allows you to create security questions that will be used to validate your identity.
  2. Message and data services (SMS): You can validate your identification by sending a text message to your T-Mobile ID.
  3. If you have the T-Mobile app installed, you can use your fingerprint or FaceID for two-step verification.
  4. When setting up two-step verification, the Google Authenticator app (available for Android 2.1 and iOS 3G and newer devices) must be used in conjunction with another programme (such as a password manager).
  5. Selecting No thanks will turn off this option for you.
  6. You can complete two-step verification using the Google Authenticator app instead of SMS, Fingerprint, or FaceID once Google Authenticator has been set up on your T-Mobile ID and you have a T-Mobile ID.

Update your account profile

Update your account profile, which includes your name, email address, password, two-step verification, and the phone numbers associated with your T-Mobile ID, if necessary.

Link / unlink phone numbers from your T-Mobile ID

You can use the same T-Mobile ID to access numerous accounts and lines, allowing others to log in and manage your accounts if you so desire, if you have several accounts and lines. Also available is the ability to attach a new phone number to an existing T-Mobile ID account.

Don’t link several phone numbers from the same account to the same T-Mobile ID in order to avoid authorization level difficulties.

Troubleshoot T-Mobile ID

  Email already registered error

A previous T-Mobile ID account or an email address that has already been registered will result in this error being shown.

  1. Attempt to log in with the prior T-Mobile ID email address and the current password if necessary.
  2. It is not necessary to login with your mobile number.
  3. Once you have logged in, you will be prompted to link your phone number to your T-Mobile ID.
  4. Forgot your password? is the option to use if you can’t remember your password.
  5. An email containing a verification link is sent to the email address that you are using to attempt to login. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process.
  6. You’ll be required to provide answers to security questions that you’ve already selected.
  7. In the link prompt, enter your cell phone number.
  8. Now, you should be able to log in to T-Mobile.com using either your email address or the phone number associated with your T-Mobile ID, depending on your configuration.
  9. If you are unable to complete the steps outlined above due to problems or forgotten security question answers, please Contact Us for more assistance.

Login fails

If you are experiencing login difficulties, avoid accessing your T-Mobile account online through a bookmark or favorites; instead, manually input the website address and retest. Within a 24-hour period, a total of 30 login attempts are permitted. Instead of logging into T-Mobile online, business customers who qualify should log through their Account Hub account.

  1. Input your login name or mobile number if you have one.
  2. On the login screen, click on the Forgot Password? link to request a new password.
  3. Next, select Text message: Send me a temporary password and then click on the Next button to continue. If this option is not accessible, click on the More Possibilities button to bring up a list of other options.
  4. Change your password and log into your account by entering the code that was issued to you through text message.
  5. You should update your password and personal details on a regular basis.
