Midway through the second season, a third season of Euphoria was announced, relieving fans of worry about the show’s uncertain future.

Sam, Zendaya, and the entire cast and crew of Euphoria have raised the bar for season two while keeping the show’s core values, according to a statement from Francesca Orsi, vice president of HBO programming.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to continue our adventure with this extraordinary, incredibly talented crew into season three,” the statement reads.

Casey Bloys, a chief content officer at HBO, recently acknowledged that the sexified high-school drama has a limited shelf life. Bloys opined, “I don’t think you want 30-year-olds playing [teenagers]” (via TVLine).

Even though he makes a reference to the show’s impending finale, he is optimistic about its future.

In regards to what they have in store for season three, Bloys expressed his excitement. “So I’ll let them handle that. I’ll just say that generally speaking, we have faith in the direction they’re taking these people. So we will defer to the creative team’s judgment.”

Euphoria season 3 release date

Season three of Euphoria doesn’t yet have an official release date, but we do know it’s coming.

Production concerns associated with COVID-19 caused a significant delay in the release of Euphoria season two, but two bonus episodes made the wait a little more tolerable.

This time, we’re optimistic that these difficulties won’t affect the show’s future, as they first gave us reason to believe that season three would debut as early as 2023.

Eric Dane, who plays Nate’s father Cal Jacobs on Grey’s Anatomy, has partially popped that optimist’s bubble.

According to the actor’s interview with Variety, filming might begin as early as November, but that doesn’t guarantee that the series will air the following year.

Regarding the evolution of his character and if Cal would find redemption, Dane hinted: “There will be atonement. I mean, that’s the course he’s taking. I find it impossible to picture Cal’s life in isolation. It’s challenging to include Cal in the plot when he’s incarcerated. ”

Another character who, if he chose to make a comeback in season three, could have a significant impact is Young Cal’s covert love for Derek. However, given that Cal has been placed under custody as a result of the events of the season two finale, it doesn’t seem terribly likely.

Although we suppose he could return in some sort of prison or courtroom scenes that further examine his demise, Cal himself might not even return.
