Where Dreams Begin Drama Summary Plot

This drama is about the growth of a group of young people in Beijing in the 70s.

It depicts the next generation in the middle of a wave of reform and opening up and recounts the story of a group of young people living in Beijing during the 1970s. The story reflects the changing times via the difficulties of the “little people,” and it takes place during that time period.
Xiao Chun Sheng, Ye Guo Hua, and Chen Hong Jun, all of whose parents served in the military or worked for the government, spent their childhoods in the courtyard.

Xiao Chun Sheng is the son of a military officer, while Ye and Chen are both government employees. They learn what it is like to serve in the military, to take the gaokao, to set sail, and to launch a company, all while providing support and encouragement to one another along the way. Tong Xiao Mei is a young woman from Beijing who is working hard to realize her goal of becoming a physician. This is an uplifting account of the development and evolution of common Chinese citizens at the period when China was undergoing its reforms.
